I had both cataract surgeries done here. The first was a horror! I felt as though it was a production line. The anesthesiologist was rude with me! The IV didn’t hurt, but my hand was badly bruised for two weeks. The person that put the plastic gown over my head, gave me no warning and…from behind me! I didn’t have enough propophol (sp?) and felt Dr. Patel’s needle and flushing! I was frightened and it hurt me! When I left I was okay. A blessing! Those two weeks my right eye (the first one) was very dry. I followed the discharge instructions to the letter. The day after my first procedure I saw Dr. Patel. I had a bad headache so it was hard for me to tell Dr. Patel. I forgot to mention my dry eye. I like Dr. Patel. She listened and assured me my left eye surgery experience would be better. Like night and day :) My second experience was lovely :) Lauren greeted me at the door and said she was told about my first experience. She assured me there would be no repeat and she was right :) My anesthesiologist was a very caring woman who did not bruise my hand. The attendants were very careful to explain everything, which was much appreciated. I couldn’t feel anything when Dr. Patel did my surgery :) And…I had no headache with the second eye :) Now, there was and is problems with the surgi-center’s discharge instructions. And I was told the same by their nurses regarding drops for my eyes. You must use 3 drops of a script each day for one month. My eyes were VERY DRY and both discharge papers and nurse told me NO OTHER MOISTURE DROPS. So my right eye suffered until my second eye was done. I called the office after my second eye and Alison said “ they encourage moisture drops as often as needed”. YAY! I told Dr. Patel and she said she would make sure THAT was corrected. To this day, my right eye feels drier than the left. I see Dr. Patel next week. I’m sure she followed through changing the orders about moisture drops. I gave this facility less than 5 stars because of my first experience. I don’t care how busy they are or whatever their excuse may be, it was my very first experience and I should’ve bern treated like they did the second time. I blame my headache on that rude anesthesiologist. Don’t let the older gentleman (who is not nice) touch you! He should retire! Know that we all are entitled to kindness, patience and correct instructions for any medical surgery. I was anxious to begin with. Please speak up if this facility is not professional! My eyes are still dry and I’m confident that Dr. Patel will help me resolve this. My second surgery gets SIX STARS!!!!!! THEY DO KNOW HOW TO BE NICE. I hope this review helps anyone who goes there. My surgeries were done 2/12/26 and 2/26/26.
Excellent customer service. The staff is very knowledgeable and pleasant
The entire procedure was perfect. No complaints. Dr Phillips is top shelf.
